FAQS
The First Session
Starting therapy can feel scary and I aim to provide a compassionate and safe environment that enables you to go at your own pace. Initially I will suggest a free telephone, video call (approx. 20mins) or email exchange to give an opportunity for you to share what brings you to therapy, and for me to share a little about how I work. It is a chance for us to begin to get to know each other and assess whether it feels like a good ‘fit’ and to agree on how we might work together.
Confidentiality
I provide a confidential, non-judgmental and supportive space. What you share with me will be kept private.
However, If you or another person is at risk of harm, confidentially will be breached. This is a legal and ethical requirement. I would discuss this with you if it were to arise.

How many sessions do I need?
I offer both long and short-term work, and there is no requirement for a specific number of sessions. You can have as many or as few sessions as you need, and this is something that can be discussed in our opening session.
